چکیده
Ahmed Şevkî (1868-1932), unutulmaz kasideleriyle modern Arap şiirinin Emîru’ş-Şuʻarâ’sı (Şairlerin Emiri) olarak adlandırılmıştır. edebî geleneğine kazandırdığı lirik şiirleriyle tanınmış olan Şevkî, Mısır edebiyatının önde gelen şairlerinden ve dramatistlerinden biridir. Üslubunu biçimini geliştirerek manzum tiyatro alanına büyük katkı sağlamıştır. Bu nedenle edebiyatında tiyatronun babası kabul edilmiştir. Şevkî’nin tarihî draması Emîretu’l-Endelus (Endülüs Prensesi-1932), mensur yazdığı tek eseridir. Konusunu İslam tarihinden almıştır. Şair Melik el-Muʻtemid b. ʻAbbâd’ın hüzünlü saltanat dönemiyle ilgilidir. Endülüs’ü anlatan sanatsal örneklerden biri tiyatrosu, Endülüs meselesini onun maruz kaldığı işgali ele alarak diğer tiyatroları gibi okuyucusuna dokunan duygusal bir mesaj taşımaktadır. çalışmada, Ahmet anlayışının ışığı altında tiyatrosunun dramatik yapısının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
